Wordless Wednesday: Brisbane at a Glance

Living in a small town like Hamilton has its advantages. It never takes long to get from one place to another by car. Within months of living here we felt like we knew the town. But sometimes the big city lures. So when we went to Gold Coast, Australia, for a holiday we couldn’t resist the temptation to make a day trip to Brisbane.

What follows is my impression of the city: beautiful green spaces, interesting new architecture right next to old buildings, and lots of traffic. We loved it, judged from the glance we caught.

Not as impressive as the London Eye, but still…!

The city’s beach! (Brisbane is not at the sea, but a beach area was created along the city’s river.)
